now available for pre-prder, below is the press release from the label.
Go out and get one why don't ya......
Due out in September, available now on pre-order,
the first volume of Gubbey
Records seven inch split vinyl series covers a lot of territory in
three cuts, including the Furlong original Egg McMan, a shape-shifting
blend of dirty southern punk rock, complete with slide guitar, and a
fierce version of Leadbellys They Hung Him On A Cross. On the reverse,
primitive bar guitarist Anderson aggressively fingerpicks to dark and
broken vocals, paying tribute in his vinyl debut to Louisvilles rich
musical culture with a cover of the Sean Garrison cowboy ballad The
White Flag.
The Details: Limited edition, hand numbered seven inch: 150 copies on
split color, red & black vinyl (see photo), and 150 on straight black
vinyl. Mastered at legendary Golden Mastering by John Golden. The only
way to guarantee yourself a copy of this nifty split color vinyl is to
pre-order now. Once these are gone, theyre gone for good, no re-press.
At $5 a pop, and free shipping for pre-orders (US only), they wont last
long. Pre-ordered vinyl will be shipped in August immediately upon arrival from
the press and prior to the release date. There will be no digital for
this release. Ya, we're assholes..... Pre-order by clicking the paypal
